I am currently working as an Associate at ScreenSkills the industry-led skills charity for the screen industries, helping to set up a screen mentoring scheme.
I worked at the BBC from 1979 - 2016. I worked in a variety of roles in corporate and content divisions. I left when the department was relocated outside London. I had two small breaks from the BBC - one was to travel the world in the late 1980s (which was brilliant), and for a year in the late 1990s to work for a law firm.
Between 2102 and 2016 I managed the internal Coach Network at the BBC as well as delivered a variety of leadership and personal development courses and webinars. I have worked with leaders and staff at all levels and from all divisions (e.g. Finance, Marketing, Technology as well as Radio, TV and Online) across the BBC as a coach, coach supervisor, mentor or leadership & personal development trainer.
I trained as an Executive Coach at the BBC in 2003 on a course accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). I have been individually accredited by the ICF (ACC) I am a full member of the Association for Coaching (AC). I adhere to the ethical codes of the AC and the ICF. I am a trained and experienced:
I have also delivered training and career coaching in the charity/voluntary sector.
I managed the BBC Mediation Service and am an accredited Workplace Mediator (OCN).

I love being outdoors. I enjoy walking along the Basingstoke Canal and in the Surrey countryside including the North Downs Way and surrounding areas, inlcuding Ash Ranges. The public foootpath network is great! The photos in the Mindful Minutes gallery are mostly from my walks in Surrey and Hampshire. They are beautiful counties.
I have an allotment and so spend a lot of time weeding! But it is worth it when I can harvest things like courgettes, squash, parsnips, beans, strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants and rhubarb.
I volunteer with Surrey Wildlife Trust where I have taken part in work parties to build fences, dredge ditches, cut down trees, coppice trees and carried out mire restoration work. You can find out more about SWT here: Find your local Wildlife Trust
I volunteered with The National Trust at Clandon Park working at the exhibition which displays the six shortlisted design concepts in the International Design Competition to restore and reimagine Clandon following the fire in April 2015. The exhibition ran from August to October 2017. I am volunteering as a Garden Guide at Clandon Park for the 2018 season.
